What to do when it rains

The weather’s not cooperating? Then don’t hesitate to put on your boots and raincoat and head for the seaside! The shades of blue, grey and green are often breathtaking.

No ? Not a fan of rainy days? Then we’ve put together a small selection of sheltered activities for you!

museums

Whether you’re anart lover, curious about the marine world, a connoisseur of know-how or ahistory buff, there’s a museum to tempt you. There’s bound to be one of our museums to tempt you!

And if you’re already familiar with all of them, you may not yet have had the chance to discover their 2023 temporary exhibitions!

Swim

Bathing suits in your suitcase, you’ve come for a swim? Don’t worry, the rain won’t stop you from taking a dip in the water! There are several heated indoor pools to choose from, including the Ludibulle complex in Petit-Caux, with its 57-metre-long waterslide, and Les Bains de Dieppe, where you can also take advantage of the outdoor pool if the weather’s fine!

a good movie at the cinema

Dieppe is home to two movie complexes. The Megarama cinema, a superb establishment located in Dieppe’sformer Halle à Tabac: 8 screens equipped with 4K projectors for the latest blockbusters, a stone’s throw from the fishing port and right next to the train station.

If you prefer arthouse or auteur films, head for Dieppe Scène Nationale (DSN) and its eclectic program of recent releases and reruns.

What could be better than a good book on a rainy day? Visit one of our local libraries or media libraries, for example in Dieppe or Falaises du Talou.

And if they’re closed, drop in at La Grande Ourse in Dieppe. You’ll find a nice selection of books there, and you can even enjoy a hot drink and a home-made pastry.

Let off steam

To help you unwind without getting drenched, a range of activities are available for all ages…

Children will love theIlot Pirate playground, with its slides and zip lines, while parents can sip a cup of coffee.

As a family, a game of bowling is always a good compromise, as the little ones can challenge the older ones to a game of fencing around the lane to ensure that their ball doesn’t end up in the gutter after every turn!

If you’re a keen skater, a spin on the ice skates at Ludibulle is sure to be a lot of fun!
