The commitments and values of the Tourist Office

At the Dieppe-Normandie Tourist Office, welcoming people means more than just providing information.
It is based on strong values, shared by the whole team, and on concrete commitments to serve visitors, residents and the region.

Our approach is based on quality, accessibility and continuous improvement, to guarantee a reliable, inclusive and useful visitor experience for all.

Quality of welcome,

a daily priority

Quality of service is a guiding principle in our operations.
As a 1st category Tourist Office, we meet stringent national criteria in terms of reception, tourist information, services offered and the professionalism of our teams. This classification guarantees complete and up-to-date information, as well as a welcome provided by trained and qualified teams.

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we have now been awarded the Qualité Tourisme label and are in the process of obtaining the Destination d’Excellence government label, supported by Atout France.

This approach reflects our desire to develop our practices and is based on concrete objectives:

  • Guarantee a consistently high level of service quality at every stage of the visitor experience
  • Continuously improve the visitor experience by listening to needs and adapting our services
  • Improving the accessibility and quality of information for all visitors
  • Integrate the principles of sustainable development into our operations and actions
  • Contribute to a coherent, high-quality tourism offer for the region, in conjunction with local stakeholders.

The Destination d’Excellence label, awarded following an external audit, recognises the commitment of tourist facilities to a global approach combining quality of service, customer satisfaction and sustainable tourism.

Accessibility for all,

a concrete commitment

Accessible tourist information is an integral part of our mission.
That’s why, since 2012, we have been committed to the Tourisme & Handicap mark, for all four forms of disability.

In practical terms, this means putting in place facilities and tools to make it easier to welcome and provide information for all audiences, including:

  • adapted physical facilities within the Office,

  • 🔊 tools to facilitate communication, such as the magnetic loop,

  • 📄 adapted information materials, available on request,

  • 🧑‍💼 a team trained to welcome all types of public.

These facilities also benefit other audiences, such as families with pushchairs, the elderly and visitors with temporarily reduced mobility.

Sustainable development

at the heart of our practices

We are committed to a socially and environmentally responsible (SER) approach, in line with the challenges of sustainable tourism and the current expectations of visitors.

On a day-to-day basis, this means

  • a focus on energy efficiency, waste sorting and rational consumption,

  • awareness-raising initiatives, both in-house and with our partners,

  • a selection of products in the shop that favour local production, short distribution channels and items designed with sustainability and eco-design in mind.

  • a system of partnerships with local professionals and socio-professionals, aimed at supporting more responsible practices >>> More info

Our aim: to contribute to a welcoming, inclusive and responsible destination that is mindful of its impact on people and the environment.
