Over the course of a weekend, Varengeville-sur-Mer celebrates the world of plants at the Botaniques de Varengeville, an unmissable event for enthusiasts of gardens, plants and landscapes.

In a friendly and festive atmosphere, discover a selection of specialist nursery owners, growers and garden craftspeople offering rare plants, collector’s items, decorative items, furniture and books. Throughout the weekend, you can also enjoy talks, book signings, exhibitions, discussions with specialists, as well as exceptional guided tours of private gardens that are usually closed to the public (booking required, subject to availability).

On the programme: – Exhibition and sale of collector’s plants, shrubs, perennials, bulbs and rare plants. – A wide range of nursery owners, growers and specialist craftspeople in attendance. – Guided tours of exceptional private gardens (booking required). – Talks led by botanists, landscape architects and gardening specialists. – Meet-and-greets and book-signing sessions with authors and gardeners. – Art exhibitions centred on plants. – Specialist bookshop. – On-site catering. → Full programme available on the website: www.botaniquesvarengeville.fr

📌 Programme of talks and events:

Saturday 24 October 2026 11.00 am – Palm trees, princes of the plant kingdom: talk by Cédric Pollet, followed by a discussion and book signing (ULMER bookshop marquee). 12.15 pm – Aperitif concert with Stefano Maghenzani and Rémi Biet. 4.30 pm – The 400 plants you won’t see in your neighbour’s garden: talk by Aurélien Davroux, followed by a Q&A session and book signing (town hall). 5.00 pm – Guided tour of the exhibition ‘À fleur de forêt’ with Pascaline Muselli Caily (Normandie Impressionniste 2026).

Sunday 25 October 2026 11.00 am – From the deserts of California to the cloud forests of Mexico: talk by Jean-Baptiste Bellili, followed by a meet-and-greet and book signing (town hall). 11.30 am – *Palmiers, au cœur de l’écorce*: meet-and-greet and book signing with Cédric Pollet to mark the launch of his new book (ULMER bookshop tent). 12.30 pm – Concert and drinks reception with Stefano Maghenzani and Rémi Biet. 3.00 pm – Guided tour and discussion at the new orchard in Varengeville-sur-Mer with Reynald Petit, from the Haute-Normandie Pomological Association, on managing a heritage orchard.

🎟️ Tickets:

– Access to the village and the plant festival. – Garden tours are available only as guided tours, subject to booking and subject to availability. – The ticket office for tours opens at 8.30 am each day of the event. Advance tickets are also available before the event.

👟 Tips:

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes for garden tours. Dogs are not permitted in the gardens that are open to the public on an exceptional basis.
