Cosy spotsFor a quiet, friendly break

A cosy break

We have compiled our favourite spots for a moment of relaxation over a mug of hot chocolate or some cold ice cream, depending on the season.

A tasty break

In a book shop

Our best-seller for a snack break is La Grande Ourse. You will find a small tearoom in this lovely book shop/café with vaulted stone ceilings. There are only one or two tables, so you’re not likely to be bothered by the noise. Enjoy pastries made from scratch using seasonal, organic local ingredients whenever possible. You will be surrounded by books during your toothsome pause. Ideal for a few moments’ escape…

A break to warm you up

At an iconic cafe

When it comes time to wrap your hands around a mug of hot chocolate, head on over to Café des Tribunaux. With the best location in town and fantastic outdoor seating on a pedestrian street, a visit here is an absolute must. The décor is superb, in a Roaring Twenties style with comfortable booth seats. There’s plenty here to warm you up in the depths of winter. So, shall we meet up “aux Trib’s” for some hot cocoa??

A break to cool you down

At a bar with live entertainment

If it’s hot out, and you need to quench your thirst, make your way to L’Entrepôt, where you will be immersed in an industrial lounge-style atmosphere. There, you’ll find sofas and armchairs like something out of Friends, surrounded by an eclectic, vintage décor. Settle into a comfy seat and order a frozen yogurt with your choice of toppings. Because the proprietor used to own Dieppe’s record shop, you can expect a great soundtrack for your sweet snack.

A flavourful

break

In a pastry shop

Passers-by don’t suspect that a lovely tearoom is tucked away behind the shopfront at Divernet. Go ahead and choose your pastries from the shop and then head upstairs to find a table. In a muted atmosphere, you can relish your high-quality pastries, with flawless service from an attentive staff. If the sun is shining, and there’s an open table, take a seat on the balcony for a charming view of the town’s busy high street.
