Dieppe, a town of fishermen, navigators and sailors, was marked by intense privateer activity, during the hustle and bustle of trade with distant countries and the West Indies.

This history is revealed during a stroll through the town, followed by a discovery of the exceptional documents preserved in the Fonds ancien. While the town has preserved nothing of the fabulous treasure brought back by Jean Fleury in 1522, it has protected the precious archives of Dieppe?s racing war.
