Around the basin

A maritime city par excellence, Dieppe is today one of the world’s leading scallop fishing ports. The town lies at themouth of the Arques River, on a pebbled heap framed by high white cliffs. The village of Dieppe developed early on through trade with England. This small fishing village became a port.
