Dieppe beach

A seaside resort not to be missed

Did you know? Sea bathing was born in Dieppe! In 1824, a bathing establishment* opened. The famous Duchesse de Berry was one of its first customers, and launched the trend. Even today, Dieppe is a popular seaside resort.

The beach stretches for 1.5 kilometers. There’s plenty to do here: swimming, walking, cycling, eating… There’s plenty to keep you busy all day!

Fill up on activities

All day long

Green lawns to your left, blue sea to your right… You’re in Dieppe. Enjoy the stroll! Along this 1 km-long promenade, you’ll be able to admire some pretty beach huts. The gourmet smells of crêpes and waffles waft in from friendly little stores.

As soon as the sun comes out, the beach comes alive. And with good reason: there’s plenty to do. You can swim or fish on foot. There’s a large playground for children, and a cycle path for rollerblading, cycling or riding the rosalies*.

The day can be extended with a drink on the terrace at the foot of the cliffs. The view over the horizon is magnificent…

Dream, escape…

Fly your kites!

8 hectares of lawns line the seafront. The site is ideal for kite flying.

Every 2 years in September, a worldwide event takes place on these lawns. It’s the International Kite Festival. It attracts many spectators. Participants come from all 5 continents.

Come and play with the wind with your family! Or simply admire the sky as it fills with flaming birds, giant octopuses and multicolored flowers.
