Postcard panoramas

A must!

One of our greatest assets is of course our coastline*. The region’s distinctive light and the changing colors of the sea create veritable works of art.

Come and discover the panoramas where the greatest Impressionist painters* set down their easels. The valley also offers breathtaking scenery. Open your eyes wide!

From the Bonsecours chapel in Dieppe

This chapel, dedicated to sailors lost at sea, offers a unique view of Dieppe’s pretty port. In the background, you can see the town, the sea and the cliffs. During your visit, you may even be accompanied by a few goats grazing in the area… Surprising, isn’t it?

From the Varengeville marine cemetery

Shades of blue, green, grey… The color palette is impressive. Don’t forget to visit the church next door, to discover the tomb of Georges Braque*and, inside the building, the stained-glass windows by Georges Braque and Raoul Ubac*. Escape alongside great artists…

From the Château de Dieppe

From here, you can overlook the town, the beach and the cliffs. A remarkable view that you can also contemplate from every window of the château. Inside the fortress, on the lawns, you’ll find a large black frame: an excellent spot for an original photo.

From Pourville-sur-Mer

A magnificent vantage point overlooking the chalk cliffs*, this panorama was a favorite of Claude Monet, the great Impressionist painter* who lived in Pourville. The view is also a source of pride for local residents. Along the coast, it’s anot-to-be-missed stopover during your stay.

From Petit-Caux

Two worlds open up on either side… On one side, from Berneval, you can see the jagged peaks of the cliffs all the way to the horizon. On the other, a small, peaceful beach stretches below at Saint-Martin Plage. Will you know which way to turn?

Locate on map

From the viaduct* at Touffreville-sur-Eu

This construction dates back to 1885. It’s an essential part of the lovely Chemin Vert du Petit Caux hike. It offers views over the countryside, the village, the Yères valley and its watercourse. The old railway line is no longer in use… You’ll only be disturbed by the chirping of birds and the flight of insects.

Locate on map

From Sainte-Marguerite-sur-Mer

On the hiking trail, this opening onto the horizon is a nice touch and a little exhilarating! In fact, it almost makes you want to run to the seaside and get your feet wet…

View on map

From the Château d’Arques

Enjoy a bucolic view of the valley! The village of Arques-la-Bataille is where the three rivers Eaulne, Béthune and Varenne meet to form the Arques, the river that flows into the mouth of the port of Dieppe. From this promontory, a beautiful green setting emerges… one of the region’s green lungs.
