Car parks & shuttles

Make it easier for you to come to the festival weekends
📍 To come with peace of mind

The weekends of the International Kite Festival attract several thousand visitors to Dieppe. To avoid traffic jams and parking problems near the seafront, we strongly advise you to use one of the free, guarded park-and-ride facilities available.

Free shuttle buses will provide a continuous link to the city centre.

🚗 For cars

🅿️ Available park-and-ride facilities (free and supervised)

  • Alpine factory car park
  • Former La Chaloupe restaurant site – Cours de Dakar
  • Former Léon Vincent site – Rue de Stalingrad (after the sorting centre)
  • Diepperacecourse car park

📍 All car parks are signposted from the town entrances.

They are accessible:

  • Saturday 13 September: from 8.30am to 8.15pm
  • Sunday 14 September: from 8.30am to 8.30pm
  • Friday 19 September (for night flights): from 6pm to midnight (Alpine, La Chaloupe and Léon Vincent car parks only)
  • Saturday 20 September: 9am to midnight
  • Sunday 21 September: 9am to 7pm

🚌 Free shuttles in permanent rotation

Shuttles provide a direct link between the park-and-ride facilities and Dieppe town centre:

  • Saturday 13 September: 9am → 11pm
  • Sunday 14 September: 9.00am to 9.30pm
  • Friday 19 September (for the night flight): 6pm → 11.30pm
  • Saturday 20 September: 9am to 7.30pm
  • Sunday 21 September: 9am to 9.30pm

🚐 For campervans

Campervans are welcome at the festival!

📍 They can park in the Chaloupe car park (on the corner of rue Laurent Croisé and Cours de Dakar), with the option of staying there at weekends only, from Saturday morning.

🚌 A dedicated free shuttle bus links this car park to the city centre, in permanent rotation:

Saturday 13 September: 9am → 11pm
Sunday 14 September: 9am to 9.30pm
Friday 19 September (for the night flight): 6pm to midnight (Alpine, La Chaloupe and Léon Vincent car parks only).
Saturday 20 September: 9am to midnight
Sunday 21 September: 9am to 9.30pm

There are also two parking areas available during the festival, each with around 50 spaces:

  • Quai de la Marne
  • Boulevard de Verdun

♿ Access for people with reduced mobility (PMR)

➡️ Festival weekends:
Vehicles with a PRM badge can access the seafront. Simply present yourself at the filtering barrier at the beginning of quai Henri IV (rue Duquesne).

➡️ Weekdays:
PRM parking is available under the usual conditions, with no specific restrictions.

🚧 Streets closed to traffic and/or parking

  • From 12 to 22 September 2025: boulevard du Maréchal Foch, traverse Houard, traverse de la Rade, former Transmanche terminal car park, boulevard de Verdun (west and central lawns).
  • On 13, 14, 17, 20 and 21 September 2025: rue Desceliers (between rue Ango and rue Duquesne), boulevard de Verdun (buildings side between rue de la Morinière and rue Houard), arcades de la Poissonnerie, rue Édouard Lavoinne (between quai du Tonkin and rue Guillaume Terrien), rue de Sygogne (between rue de la Barre and boulevard de Verdun). Rue Duquesne may also be closed from time to time, depending on traffic.
  • Sunday 21 September (parade from 9.30am to 12.30pm): traffic disrupted on quai Henri IV, arcades de la Bourse, rue Duquesne, Grande Rue, place du Puits Salé, rue du 19 Août 1942, rue du Commandant Fayolle, rue de la Halle au Blé, rue Aguado and boulevard de Verdun.

🚌 Groups and tourist buses

Group buses are invited to park in allée François Mitterrand, near the Town Hall.
🚏 Drop-offs can be made at the Pont Ango bus stop, just opposite the Tourist Office, to facilitate the safe arrival and departure of passengers.
