2024 highlights

Festivals, gatherings, folklore… Our destination is punctuated by fabulous events all year round.

We’ve put together a short compilation of the dates you need to note in your 2024 diary.

Cinema, music and the performing arts

For one of the first highlights of the year, the borders open with the Canadian Film Festival, its selection of feature films and the presence of French and Canadian personalities.

In June, join the cast for the Les Enfants de Molière theater festival.

As for music, there’s something for everyone, all year round: pop-rock, acoustic, electro, early music…

Sporting challenges

Come and cheer on the participants of the DieppeUrban Trail, theOxfam Trailwalker and the Dieppe Corrida, as well as pitch in and take part.

On the cerebral side, logic and strategy enthusiasts can take part in the 20th International Chess Festival.

This year also marks the return of a stage of the Tour Voile to the city of 4 ports.

Dieppe and the sea, 2 dates not to be missed!

In June, for the Fête de la Mer, come and sing a traditional song, board a boat decorated in honor of sailors, and take part in folklore and customs!

Every year in November, Dieppe celebrates its ancestral link with the sea and the fishing industry with a convivial weekend of tasting and entertainment: the famous Herring and Scallop Fair.

Two flagship events you’ll want to experience at least once!

Nature and the environment

There are plenty of opportunities to buy plants and cuttings, get advice from professional gardeners, or explore one of the destination’s fabulous gardens!

During the Sustainable Development Weekend in May, you can discover the biodiversity of the Falaises du Talou area through hikes, butterfly hunts and birdwatching.

Dieppe’s first Bicycle Festival promises to be a convivial affair, full of exchanges on the theme of soft mobility.

All in the family

In June, young and old alike can try their hand at water sports for free at Faîtes du Nautisme . At the 22nd Dieppe Comic Book Festival, you’ll find new reading ideas for young and old alike.

There’s plenty to do at the Braderie du Pollet, admire artists at work at the Festival Spray or the Journée des Peintres, or take in the view from the fireworks display on July 14.

The traditional summer fair will of course be back on Dieppe’s lawns in August, as will the Ferris Wheel on Quai Henri IV this autumn!

Automobile & mechanical

The Dieppe Rally is a thrilling race that brings together amateur and experienced drivers.

A brand-new event will be held in May: a gathering of vintage Vendeuvre and Alis-Chalmers tractors, whosefactories were once located in Dieppe.

The festi-vintage and its retro cars will be back, building on the success of last year’s first edition.

Local produce and crafts

You’ll be able to share great moments around local products at the Fête du Fromage in Touffreville-sur-Eu, the Dieppe night markets or the Fête de la Pomme in Sept-Meules!

At the Forum des Métiers d’Arts, meet stonecutters, glassblowers and luthiers– skills that may well inspire teenagers in their future careers.
